The course is developed in English, is useful in the workplace and for preparing for buildingSMART certification. buildingSMART Professional Foundation is aimed at all those who want an introduction to BIM working methods and collaboration, in the openBIM principles promoted by buildingSMART, also providing information on the new international standard ISO 19650. The objective of the course is to add these competencies to the training of architects and engineers by acquiring knowledge specific to BIM working methods: tools, documents, concepts and terminology, roles and responsibilities.
In the buildingSMART Foundation course, participants will learn how to create quality data during the project delivery phase, data that can be used with greater effect during the operational phase. Individuals who participate in this course are eligible to take the buildingSMART Foundation professional certification exam, obtaining an internationally recognized qualification. The core content of the course comes from ISO19650 standards and provides a comprehensive foundation on how to approach digital construction projects for all specialties involved in design, construction and handover.
